Song of the Dead “Deadly” Gift List

Hey guys! Long time no blog, amiright?? 2018 was a rough year for me, but I am so excited to be back with you all and what better way to start the year than with an awesome gift list for some amazing characters.

That’s right.  I’m so happy to be on the Song of the Dead blog tour. Sarah Glenn Marsh totally outdid herself with this conclusion to her Reign of the Fallen duology. If you liked the first book you’ll LOVE the second, and if you haven’t read the first book, what the heck are you waiting for? It’s a zombie, romance, adventure story and it has DRAGONS.  NEED I SAY MORE?!?!

For my leg of the tour I’m doing a list of the perfect gift for some of my favorite characters!

*Warning: There are minor spoilers for Reign of the Fallen ahead.

ODESSA

This Sparrow Locket is the ideal gift for Odessa because she can fill it with pictures of the two people whom she has loved.  It’ll help her hold on to her memories of Evander (my poor sweet Evander) while also capturing the likeness of her future love. Plus the sparrow will reminder of all she fought for and all she has overcome.

MEREDY

Meredy is a lot more in tune with her emotions than Odessa (IMO) and I think she would love a leather bound journal so that she can have a place to reflect and to remember. She’s also lost a lot, and journaling would bring her peace and comfort during hard times.

JAX

Let’s be real: there is only one thing that Jax really wants, and it’s what we all really want.  A DRAGON. Preferably one as beautiful as he is.

VALORIA

Valoria would literally DIE if she discovered coding.  I mean, it’s a whole new frontier of ideas and inventing just waiting to be plundered! I think she’d probably lock herself in her chambers until she mastered it with that always inquisitive mind of hers.  This beginners coding kit would make the perfect gift for her.

KASMIRA

Kasmira was easy – I’d give her a new dagger for her collection.  This was is sharp and pretty so I think it would probably become a new favorite during her adventures.

AZELIE

I would get my girl Azelie a minature terrarium so that she could take a garden with her wherever she goes, no matter how far away from home she might be traveling.

Song of the Dead Cover.jpgSONG OF THE DEAD BLURB

The Dead must stay buried.

Karthia is nothing like it used to be. The kingdom’s borders are open for the first time in nearly three hundred years, and raising the dead has been outlawed. Odessa is determined to explore the world beyond Karthia’s waters, hoping to heal a heart broken in more ways than she can count. But with Meredy joining the ocean voyage, vanquishing her sorrow will be a difficult task.

Despite the daily reminder of the history they share, Odessa and Meredy are fascinated when their journey takes them to a land where the Dead rule the night and dragons roam the streets. Odessa can’t help being mesmerized by the new magic–and by the girl at her side. But just as she and Meredy are beginning to explore the new world, a terrifying development in Karthia summons them home at once.

Growing political unrest on top of threats from foreign invaders means Odessa and Meredy are thrust back into the lives they tried to leave behind while specters from their past haunt their tenuous relationship. Gathering a force big enough to ward off enemies seems impossible, until one of Queen Valoria’s mages creates a weapon that could make them invincible. As danger continues to mount inside the palace, Odessa fears that without the Dead, even the greatest invention won’t be enough to save their fates.

In this enthralling, heartrending sequel to Reign of the Fallen, Odessa faces the fight of her life as the boundaries between the Dead and the living are challenged in a way more gruesome than ever before.
