Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and is about sharing the books that you have added to your shelves in the past week. The books can be physical, digital, borrowed, won, sent for review, or anything else.

I’m very excited to get into this! This is my first week doing a Stacking the Shelves post, and I actually had a HUGE book haul this week, which makes it the perfect time to start.

Amazon – 

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. I’ve been excited about this book, but haven’t been able to get my hands on it until this week. I think it’s going to be a fun fantasy read, so hopefully I’ll have found a new world to immerse myself in when I read this one!

 

Six Feet Over It by Jennifer Longo. I recently did a #booksfortrade where the person I traded with included an extra book – Up to this Pointe by Jennifer Longo. I had never even heard of her before, but then last week I was at a Barnes & Noble in NYC when I came across this intriguing book, also by her. I didn’t buy it then, but eventually caved and ordered it this week!

Assassin’s Heart by Sarah Ahiers. I’ve had my eye on this one for a while, especially since it’s been billed as being perfect for fans of the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore (one of my all-time favorite fantasy series).

Madly by Amy Alward – So, I read Madly for free on Riveted Lit (they have free reads and extended excerpts every week!), and I liked it so much that I treated myself to my very own copy of it! I can’t wait for the sequel, Royal Tour, to come out later this year!

The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury  – I pre-ordered this one, and I’m so excited to have received it!Sarah J. Mass recommended it, and it sounds like a gorgeous retelling… Maybe it’ll be akin to Renée Ahdieh’s beautiful The Wrath and the Dawn? I’m going to sink my teeth into ASAP!

One More Page Books in Arlington, VA – 

Vicious by V.E. Schwab. My husband took me to a Victoria Schwab singing Tuesday, and I had so much fun! First of all, she’s the nicest person ever (I want to be her friend now) and her Shades of Magic books are amazing (Gathering of Shadows just came out!). But I actually haven’t read any of her other books, so on the way out my amazing man bought me this one! Can’t wait to see if it’s as good as ADSOM and Gathering are!

Edelweiss – 

Thanks for the Trouble  by Tommy Wallach. I’m already about 30% of the way through this one, and it’s a very interesting contemporary. I love the diversity, but I could do without so many expletives.

How it Ends by Catherine Lo. I’m a sucker for a good book about friendships, so I’m interested to see how this one plays out.

Suffer Love by Ashley Herring Blake. All I know about this book is that it involves a dysfunctional family and a love story, so we’ll see how it goes. Dysfunction is always a plus.

Hard copies – 

You Know Me Well by David Levithan and Nina LaCour – I cannot wait for this one because David Levithan turns everything he touches into good! I’m so glad the folks over at Macmillan sent me an ARC of his latest collaboration with Nina LaCour.

Traded

Enter Title Here by Rahul Kanakia. I traded one of my favorite #booksfortrade partners for this beauty, and I CANNOT WAIT to find out if it lives up to the hype. It doesn’t come out until August, so I’m feeling lucky to have gotten a copy before then! The premise is intriguing, and the Goodreads reviews are good, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
